There is constant talk of “bringing manufacturing jobs back to America” as if it is some magic cure-all to a poor economy. There’s no doubt the past few decades have seen manufacturing jobs outsourced at a record pace and that certainly has played a part in the recession. But while it might be nice to think about those jobs coming back, they’re not going to. The sooner the United States accepts that, the sooner it can move on to something less futile.

I love the Republican Party, I really do. There hasn't been a group of people as entertaining as the 2012 GOP presidential candidates since "Seinfeld" went off the air in 1998. With the recent reports of sexual harassment charges being levied against former Godfather's Pizza CEO Herman Cain, the candidates proved their hilarity once again, displaying their inability to get their acts together.

I'm calling it now: Barack Obama will be re-elected president in 2012. This isn't just wishful thinking. After watching the most recent Republican Party debate on Oct. 18, I simply can't see anyone the GOP can offer up beating Obama in a general election. While the candidates attempted to convince voters why they're the right person to challenge Obama, all any of them seemed to do was prove why they're not capable of leading the nation.
