Greek of the Week: Chris Marro

Chris Marro is a brother of Sigma Nu Chi (Sig Nu). He pledged in Spring 2005 and has been an active brother since then. Marro has been involved in countless activities on campus. Last year he was the co-chair of Relay for Life at Geneseo and helped to make it the largest fundraiser in the history of the College. This year he is the chairman of Relay for Life and hopes to top the huge success that was accomplished last year.

Marro is the Vice President of Geneseo's chapter of Colleges Against Cancer, which is one of the newest clubs on campus. He sits on the Inter-Greek Council (IGC) executive board as the volunteer coordinator. With the help of IGC, Marro organized a Greek-sponsered pasta dinner this week to fundraise for Face-AIDS. It raised over $700 for those affected by AIDS.

Marro has worked to encourage Greek involvement in many volunteer opportunities on campus. With his involvement in both the Relay for Life and IGC he has provided each Greek organization with the opportunity to send a team to the Relay.

He is an extremely committed and devoted person. Marro has a wonderful personality and is an individual that most Greeks know and respect.
