After watching the Geneseo Ice Knights ascension from an average SUNYAC team to a conference powerhouse over the past three years, one of my favorite players that I've grown to respect was Mitch Stephens, a forward who always had a penchant for scoring at just the right time (often shorthanded), while always playing a sound defensive game as well. Mitch graduated last year, but it was wonderful to hear that he signed a professional contract with the Reading Royals of the East Coast Hockey League earlier this month.
