Morton led the Blue Knights to the top seed in the SUNYAC conference, scoring 528 points and averaging nearly 35 minutes per game. He also led the team in nearly every category: points per game (20.3), rebounds (7.1), assists (4.5), steals (2.0) and blocks (1.2). He finishes his Geneseo career as the third-highest scorer in school history with 1,513 points. This is Morton's second consecutive Best Male Athlete award.

Kenny Pink, Men's SwimmingPink, a freshman, helped lead the Blue Wave to their 11th consecutive SUNYAC championship, winning three individual events and swimming on two winning relay teams. Pink won the 200-yard IM in a school record time of 1:55.28, the 100-yard breaststroke in a school record and NCAA provisional qualifying time of 1:41.35 and the 200-yard breaststroke in a SUNYAC record and NCAA provisional qualifying time of 2:06.68.
Jeff Howe, Men's BasketballHowe scored 335 points this season while averaging 29.7 minutes. Howe averaged 12 points and 6.3 rebounds per game. He joins Morton as the 11th and 12th players in Geneseo basketball history to score at least 1,000 points and grab 500 career rebounds.
Jeff MacPhee, Men's HockeyMacPhee was a do-it-all defenseman for the Ice Knights this season. The junior was the team enforcer, leading the team in penalties with 24 and his 11 assists was third-best on the team. In Geneseo's final win of the season, a 4-3 overtime victory over Buffalo State, MacPhee assisted on both the game-tying and game-winning goals.
Rodriguez led the undefeated Lady Wave to their second consecutive SUNYAC championship. The sophomore garnered the Geneseo Student-Athlete of the Week awards three times this season. At the SUNYAC meet Rodriguez was named Most Outstanding Swimmer and qualified for the NCAA Division III championships in all three individual events she swam.

Bridget Riley, Women's BasketballRiley, a junior, led the team with 245 rebounds and was the team's third leading scorer, averaging 6.8 points per game. Riley also led the team with 43 steals.
Tracy Wangelin, Women's BasketballWangelin led the Lady Knights with a team-high 281 season points. She also shot 66.9 percent from the free throw line, leading the team in free throw attempts. Wangelin added 180 rebounds on the season.
For the second year in a row, Dotterweich is the clear winner for Best Coach. He guided the Blue Wave swim teams to yet another SUNYAC championship. Both teams went undefeated with both meets and tournaments. Several of his swimmers will be competing at the NCAA championship meet from March 18 to 21.

Steve Minton, Men's BasketballMinton brought the basketball team to the top of the SUNYAC conference and a No. 1 playoff seed before falling in the first round to SUNY Brockport. The team was undefeated at home during the regular season and finished the season 17-9 overall.Chris Schultz, Men's HockeySchultz, a 1997 graduate of Geneseo, led the Ice Knights to a 14-12-1 record in his third season as coach. The team raced out to a 9-3-1 record, boosting them into the national rankings. Signature wins included a road upset of then-No. 3 Oswego on Nov. 22, and an exhibition win over the U.S. Under-18 all-star team.

Morton exploded for a season-high 32 points and eight rebounds in one of the most exciting games Geneseo has ever seen. He was 10-13 from the floor, 2-3 from beyond the arc and 10-12 from the free throw line. Morton capped off his performance with an amazing game-winning shot, diving for a last-second rebound and flipping it over his shoulder into the net. The buzzer-beater was ESPN's No. 1 play that night on SportsCenter's "Top 10," and was later awarded the No. 5 play of 2008.

Michelle RodriguezWomen's Swimming, SUNYAC championships
Named Most Outstanding Swimmer of the meet for her blistering performance in the conference championships, Rodriguez won three individual events and anchored four winning relays. She set new school records and automatically qualified for the NCAA Division III championships in all three individual events with a 51.34 in the 100-yard freestyle, a SUNYAC record 1:51.52 in the 200-yard freestyle and a speedy SUNYAC record 4:59.22 in the 500-yard freestyle. Rodriguez helped Geneseo qualify provisionally for the NCAA Championships in each of the four relays, setting SUNYAC records in the 400-yard and 800-yard freestyle and 400-yard medley and posting a Geneseo record in the 200 medley.
