Upcoming Limelight and Accents: Dallas Brass

On Dec. 12, Wadsworth Auditorium will host Dallas Brass, sponsored by Limelight and Accents, part of Activities Commission and the Student Association.

The Dallas Brass company, founded in 1983, is a renowned ensemble of six musicians who have, over the years, released six recordings of music in several genres including classical, swing, Broadway and Hollywood.

According to a statement by founder Michael Levine on the group's Web site, Dallas Brass concerts are a fun time for all ages. "Our ideal audience has a range in ages from 5 to 95," he said.

Junior Kellie O'Keefe, a Limelight and Accents coordinator, said that the concert, a holiday show, will provide students with "an excellent opportunity to get in the holiday spirit and escape from the stress of finals." She added that Dallas Brass is expected to play holiday favorites such as "Frosty the Snowman" and "Deck the Halls."

The show will begin at 8 p.m. and tickets, available in the SA ticket office downstairs in the Union, cost $6.
