America's most well-known gospel choir will kick off this semester's portion of the Limelight & Accents Performing Arts Series.
The Harlem Gospel Choir, which has entertained everyone from Nelson Mandela to Madonna, will take the Wadsworth Auditorium stage at 8 p.m. on Feb. 13. Tickets are $6 for students, and are also available for $4 if purchased at the Black Student Union's dinner in the College Union Ballroom that starts at 4 p.m. the same night.
"Everyone will have a hard time resisting the urge to smile, dance and sing along with the choir," said Limelight & Accents co-coordinator and junior Kellie O'Keefe. "Their music has amazing diversity, ranging anywhere from spiritual to contemporary soul anthems to feel-good, sing-along music."
The act will also be offering Geneseo a treat, as they will join attendees who sign up by e-mailing kso2@geneseo.edu for a special meet-and-greet opportunity at 3 p.m. on Saturday.
