N.Y. Gov. David Paterson meets reporters on March 5, 2010.Paterson has recently fielded harsh criticism for his alleged involvement in a domestic abuse scandal linked to his aide, David Johnson. Paterson alledgedly went out of his way and may have abused gubernatorial power in order to protect Johnson, leading to calls for Paterson's resignation. The governor has stated that he believes it's better for the state that he finish out his term, which expires next year. Whether or not the allegations are proven, I believe he should remain in office, for the stability of the state.-Aaron Davis, Opinion Editor
