While the rest of the campus hides out in their dorms and the College Union, members of Alpha Chi Rho are braving the cold weather in a tent pitched in the middle of the college green. This unique fundraiser, which they do annually for the American Cancer Society, shows a level of committment that most other organizations can’t hope to match. Until Friday at 4 p.m., members of Crows will be outside all day asking for donations, then all night to brave the cold.
About 10 members sleep in the tent every night on a rotation and it is mandatory for every member of the fraternity to participate.
“It really shows how committed we are to this cause,” said sophomore Alec Manke. So far, the Crows have raised over $2,000 for charity.
