If you’re over 21 and looking to make some drinks with your family in quarantine that will also boost your immune system, here are a few options:
Drink #1: Literally any clear liquor combined with Emergen-C
First, mix your packet of Emergen-C with a glass full of water, make sure to leave a shot’s worth of room in the glass. Then pour a shot of the clear alcohol of your choice, such as vodka, gin or rum and mix. You can make this feel fancy by adding a fruit or mint garnish. You could also add fruit juice to this combination to make it sweeter if you would like.
Drink #2: Emergen-C Mimosa
First, pour a glass of champagne and leave about a quarter of the glass empty. Mix in three-quarters of a packet to a full packet of the Vitamin C supplement in. The more Emergen-C you add, the stronger the flavor will be. Then, top it off with orange juice.
Drink #3: Ruin your favorite IPA
You can use any beer to do this, but my recommendation would be to use one that will pair well with citrus, such as Blue Moon. First, pour your packet of Emergen-C into your cup or mug, then pour the beer in and mix slowly so that you do not lose the carbonation of the beer.
Drink #4: Mocktail, or not
Add one packet of Emergen-C to a cup. Then, add half a can of your favorite seltzer. Follow this up by adding a fruit juice of your choice. This can be made alcoholic by using White Claw or Truly in place of a regular seltzer.
