On Saturday May 4, minor league baseball’s Toledo Mud Hens will be wearing what are being described as “Chewbacca jerseys” in honor of Star Wars weekend. The jerseys will feature a textured pattern that attempts to emulate Chewbacca’s fur. On Sunday March 31, Danish professional golfer Andreas Harto found himself in a messy situation at the Trophee Hassan II tournament in Morocco. After hitting a shot right next to the water on the par-3 No. 14 hole, Harto had no choice but to step into the water to play his ball. Harto, refusing to get his trousers wet, opted to strip down to his undies for the shot. Bare thighs exposed, Harto hit a beautiful chip shot onto the green, before tapping his ball into the hole for bogey. Due to the success of his shot, Harto is being celebrated for taking his pants off, something Tiger Woods must envy.

I came to Geneseo thinking I knew what I wanted and what I was going to experience. I knew nothing. My first semesters were marred by terrible diets, struggles to maintain a realistic sleep schedule and the cold realization that my friends from home weren’t going to be joining me in class. I stubbornly held on to high school and wouldn’t let go.

The “v” in MVP stands for “valuable,” something that the Detroit Tigers’ third baseman Miguel Cabrera personified in the 2012 Major League Baseball season. The voter makeup for any MVP ballot seems to fall into two distinct camps: those who look purely at statistics and those who assess a player’s impact on their team’s success. The season Cabrera pieced together satisfies both of these camps in historic fashion.
