On Thursday April 19, Geneseo Pride Alliance hosted a panel discussion addressing LGBTQ issues titled, “Gay? Fine by Me” in the Alice Austin Theatre. Since the creation of Fine By Me at Duke University in 2003, the event has been held annually at hundreds of schools.

I don’t understand the beef that people have with Southside dorms. When I tell people I live on Southside there’s usually a quiet “oh” followed by an awkward pause. This reaction is either out of pity or a cautionary instinct – as if simply talking to me may force them to live there – but it still doesn’t seem justified.

Orchesis spring showcase displays range of student dance talent

From March 22 – 24 Geneseo dancers took the stage for this semester’s Orchesis Spring Showcase, presenting a solid variety in the dance groups including some who definitely brought the “wow” factor. Considering anyone can join Orchesis regardless of previous dance experience, it’s no surprise over 200 students have joined in to create one of the largest student-run organizations on campus.
