This past weekend, the Geneseo men's basketball team split their games against conference rivals SUNY Potsdam and SUNY Plattsburgh, winning an overtime victory against Potsdam on Friday, 71-66, and losing Saturday afternoon to the Plattsburgh Cardinals, 65-58.

The Geneseo indoor track team geared up for its first meet of the season this past Saturday at the Cornell Relays: an open invitational that was attended by numerous schools from the region across all divisions that also included numerous unattached runners.

The women's basketball team started their season off with a bang, pulling out two wins last weekend at a tournament hosted by Mt. Aloysius College.

This past weekend, both the Geneseo men's and women's soccer teams did well against two difficult opponents - SUNY New Paltz and SUNY Oneonta. The men's team won both of their away games, while the women's team dropped Friday's game to Oneonta, but recovered against New Paltz on Saturday. The men were engaged in a long scoreless first half on Friday in Oneonta, but the Red Dragons broke the tie in the 62nd minute and scored.

This past week was a busy one for Geneseo's field hockey team as the Lady Knights defeated SUNY Oneonta and SUNY New Paltz this weekend before falling to Utica College at home on Wednesday.

Each playing two matches this past weekend, the Geneseo men's and women's soccer teams played hard and with as much fervor on the field as the opposing teams.
