The Jabali Acrobats show was an extremely entertaining display perfect for Siblings Weekend. On Saturday, March 31, Wadsworth Auditorium was packed with people excited to see the antics of the Jabali group, whose performance was much like watching an intense circus act. There were simple props - chairs, blocks, hoops, a jump rope - that the acrobats used in their stunts. The most impressive feats, however, were at the end of the show, when the group used only their own bodily skills to entertain the audience.

Orchesis is the biggest club on campus, consisting of over 180 members. That means when they put on a show like Beyond the Studio Mirror, held last Thursday through Saturday in the Alice Austin Theater, it's a huge affair. The sheer number of dancers means the audience probably won't see anyone in more than one number, other than seniors. This year the show was very energetic, but it could have used a bit more variety.

Students braved the cold on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights to go see The Vagina Monologues: Cave of Wonders, at the Knight Spot. Monologues is an annual tradition on campus sponsored by the Womyn's Action Coalition, and has become well-loved among the student community. The Monologues proved its popularity again this year by selling out all three nights.

Opening at the Lederer gallery this past Thursday was Pins and Needles, a show by Maggy Rozycki Hiltner and Melissa Haviland. The two are radically different artists: Hiltner primarily manipulates embroidery and Haviland draws and sculpts her works. This contrast creates a dynamic playing of one set of works against the other, though the two shows present a united message that things in art and reality are never as simple as they appear.

Geneseo's Asian-American performance ensemble (GENseng) production Kimchee and Chitlins, is the last theater production of the season, and one not to be missed. After impressive introduction dances from both G-Steppers and Geneseo Bhangra, the cast of Kimchee and Chitlins enters the theater to the sound of newsroom music and takes their places on the stage.
