The Circus Club is a great way to meet talented and creative students while also honing your performing skills. 

After graduation, everyone hopes to find their dream job, and recent Geneseo graduate Leila Sedigh ’17 found hers. 

Ward Parker ‘00 is a Geneseo alumnus who has traveled the world spending his life looking for the next best adventure. Parker attended Geneseo in 1975. In 1984, Parker left Geneseo and moved to California, and returned in 2000 to finish his degree in communication.    

Social media’s prevalence within society has allowed people to write and comment on pictures that they would never have the courage to do in person. Kate Welshofer, a news reporter for WGRZ-TV in Buffalo, N.Y., has experienced this first-hand, and has consequently become an “accidental activist.” 

Mathematics major senior Imasha Silva, originally from Sri Lanka, has developed a passion for Geneseo over her last four years here. 

Zeta Phi Beta is among the Divine Nine historic black Greek letter organizations that make up the National Panhellenic Council. Originating in 1930, the Divine Nine served as a premier organization for African-American fraternities and sororities. 

Sigma Delta Tau was founded in 1917 on the basis of empowering and bringing together women who hold the same values. The Gamma Chi chapter at Geneseo was established in 1982 and currently has 107 active members. 

International business and marketing professor Michele Volza’s passion for international business is clear from his experiences prior to academia, and he shows it in his international business class.

Since the Sigma Alpha Mu fraternity came to Geneseo in 2003, the organization has been a well-known presence on campus. Known as Sammy’s, its members are part of a national fraternity with chapters on over 50 campuses.  

If you are looking to get a glimpse into the world of finance and are interested in gaining a deeper understanding of the complexity of the stock market, join the Student Managed Investment Fund. Better known as SMIF, the club allows students to gain hands-on financial experience while getting a feel to what a career in finance would be like following graduation. 

Junior geography major Katie Strohmayer has spent the past fall semester studying at The University of Groningen in the Netherlands. This program has allowed Katie to fully immerse herself in a different culture and learn more about the world. 

Associate professor of management Jeffrey Gutenberg’s passion for his work shined as he spoke about the role of advertising and promotions in his career as a professor at Geneseo. 

Students sat around in a circle with anticipation, unsure of what to expect from the virtual reality experience that awaited them. 

In today’s college hookup culture, alcohol and sex often go hand in hand. Both men and women alike use alcohol as “liquid courage,” lowering inhibitions and allowing college students to make decisions that wouldn’t make sense. 

Many students across campus were wearing t-shirts or sporting a pin that read, “I Heart the Female Orgasm,” on Friday Sept. 7. They were anxiously awaiting the annual “I Love Female Orgasm” event organized by the Geneseo Campus Activities Board.
