Big Conspiracy is rapper J Hus’s second studio album and the first major release of the decade from the United Kingdom music scene, which has recently been thriving. The album comes after a long two-and-a-half year wait since his last release, which was his critically acclaimed debut album Common Sense.

The songs performed varied from upbeat pop jams to more serious, slower beats that displayed the groups’ unique personalities. The auditorium was filled with excited chatter while everyone eagerly awaited the first song.

When you think of gangsta rap being from a city in New York State, Buffalo is probably near the bottom of the list. Conway The Machine is well aware of this. In the song “Tito’s Back” off his recent studio album Look What I Became, he raps “We ain’t from a borough.” Look What I Became is a 28-minute EP, and a precursor to God Don’t Make Mistakes, which, when released in October, will be Conway’s first major-label release.

African Giant is Burna Boy’s fourth studio album and was released on July 26 this summer. Clocking in at exactly one hour, the album blends a rich cultural history with melodic singing and rhythmic beats. This is a style that Burna Boy has dubbed “Afro-Fusion.”
