Presidential candidate and former Vice President Joe Biden has a shaky and inconsistent record on fracking. His running mate, Kamala Harris, recently claimed in the Oct. 7th vice presidential debate that Biden “will not ban fracking” in spite of past promises to do just that. The science is clear: fracking threatens the health of the American people and deserves a swift ban. Biden should commit himself to banning the practice if elected president or risk falling on the wrong side of history.

On the March 5 broadcast of Chris Cuomo’s prime time CNN show, Bernie Sanders’ presidential campaign co-chair Nina Turner debated Democratic strategist and Joe Biden supporter Hilary Rosen. During the segment, Turner referenced a quote from Martin Luther King Jr.’s “Letter from Birmingham Jail.” Rosen immediately questioned Turner’s interpretation of the quote and a heated argument between the two ensued.

The Carhartt beanie has become a staple on the college campus. At Geneseo, one can witness any number of alternatively dressed men and women sporting that bright orange logo atop their head, inevitably paired with Dr. Martens or Dickies trousers. I propose the barrier to access such services should be lessened, and measures should be put in place to encourage recycling in Geneseo.

UHots was closing and there was nothing to do—my alumni friend was visiting, so we trudged through the rain back to my place for an early morning catch-up. His life is a lot more exciting than mine, so I listened intently as he told me of his post-grad misadventures.

In August of 1969, Bethel, N.Y. erupted with the spirit of Woodstock Music Festival. Despite a grocery list of logistic, fiscal and legal challenges, Max Yasgur’s unassuming dairy farm became the chosen site for “Three Days of Peace & Music” that would rock American culture.
