Ice Knights easily handle Brockport in 6-4 win, will host first round of SUNYAC Tournament

The Geneseo Ice Knights traveled to the Tuttle North Ice Arena on Saturday Feb. 22 for their final game of the regular season to face off against the SUNY Brockport Golden Eagles. Geneseo came away from the high-scoring affair with a 6-4 victory to round out their season right before playoffs.

Sports Editorial: Buffalo Sabres suffer defeat to Lightning in Sweden series, look to bolster roster via trade

The Buffalo Sabres’ first NHL Global Series since 2011 took them to Stockholm, Sweden for a pair of games against the Tampa Bay Lightning over the weekend of Nov. 8 and 9. Both contests ended in defeat for the young squad. Despite great performances from centers Sam Reinhart and Jack Eichel, the Sabres found themselves unable to create scoring chances from the depth chart, scoring five goals over both games and conceding eight.
