On Monday March 9, Geneseo’s Mental Health Advisory Committee will be hosting its third annual Mental Health Town Hall in Newton 202 from 3:30 to 5 p.m. The event is open to all students, faculty and staff, and hopes to address any outstanding questions, comments or concerns attendees may have regarding mental health.

Two years ago, the Office of Diversity and Equity piloted a program called the Advanced Cultural Competency Certificate. The program aims to foster and promote multicultural awareness within faculty and staff and has currently included 50 employees.

The campus community will soon welcome Geneseo’s first Open Classroom Week, to be hosted from Feb. 24 through Feb. 28. Throughout the week, faculty members who have volunteered to participate will open the doors of their classrooms to their colleagues for informal observations.
