Geneseo climbs two spots in Kiplinger rankings

Geneseo improved its ranking on Kiplinger's Best Values in Public Colleges list for the year 2011, jumping from ninth to seventh place. The list of best values among the nation's four-year colleges for 2011 was released in Kiplinger's Personal Finance Magazine. Geneseo continues to rank second for best value for out-of-state students. It is listed near top-rated schools such as SUNY Binghamton, The College of William and Mary and University of California, Berkley. According to a press release, the list was created based on the exceptional education and economic values of each college. "Great teaching attracts great students and this survey underscores the outstanding work of our faculty," said Geneseo President Christopher Dahl in a press release.u
