The fall season has introduced Geneseo to some new faces on-campus. One of those is that of Margaret McConnell, the field hockey team’s new head coach. McConnell has the Knights off to a 3-3 start early in the season.

Coming off a solid first weekend, the women’s volleyball team’s record fell to 4-3 after the South Hill Classic at Ithaca College on Friday Sept. 7 and Saturday Sept. 8. The Knights were defeated by Ithaca College, Susquehanna University and Wesleyan University.

The Geneseo women’s tennis team kicked off their fall season this past weekend by sweeping all nine matches against Hartwick College on Saturday Sept. 1. The victory is a positive sign for a team looking to win its eighth straight SUNYAC title.
Women’s soccer kicks off their season with two shutout wins
For the fifth season in a row, Geneseo women’s soccer began with a bang. With two shutout games against New England College and Utica College, the currently undefeated team plans for continued excellence as the reigning SUNYAC Champions.
Women’s volleyball undefeated through first four away games
With only one set loss in their first four matches, the Geneseo women’s volleyball team started their season off with an impressive 4-0 start. They had matches on both Friday Aug. 31 and Saturday Sept. 1.
Track and field prepares to host SUNYAC meet
Geneseo track and field has been taking advantage of the recent warmer weather and used it as a springboard into a weekend of success, with athletes competing at Princeton University and SUNY Cortland.

Those losses include two conference opponents, SUNY Cortland and SUNY Oswego and a non-conference opponent, St. John Fisher College. The Geneseo Knights saw another impressive winter season. All seven winter teams advanced to the SUNYAC Tournament, with six earning a SUNYAC Title and making appearances in the NCAA Tournament. With these successes, Geneseo is set to win its fourth consecutive SUNYAC Commissioner’s Cup, the fifth in program history.

The Geneseo women’s lacrosse team is no longer undefeated. The Knights received their first loss of the season on Saturday April 14 against SUNY Cortland. It was an intense, back and forth match up, but Cortland pulled away and won by a score of 15-10.
